The non-profit sector offers a range of careers that are dynamic, engaging, and rewarding. Careers in the fields of art, culture, education, the environment, information technology, heath care, social development, or sport, and countless career paths are available for people who share the sector’s common vision: to make a difference. This is an emerging job market especially in the Algoma region. In Sault Ste Marie alone, 44% of the workforce is employed in the non-profit. Across Canada nearly 1.2 million people are employed in the non-profit sector. This program will help prepare students to enter the non-profit sector and offer a variety of certifications that students can use beyond high school.
